About ClassicalBot

Beginnings

In early 2025, I decided to map classical music concerts in my home country, Slovakia. It was a nice side project which is currently still hosted on domain classical.sk. As a person who is willing to travel abroad to listen to a specific piece of music, I knew I'll eventually want to scale the project to the whole world.

AI to the rescue

Slovakia is a small country and aggregating the concerts there wasn't too difficult, after all, there are only like 20-30 sources where a classical concert could appear. Covering whole world, however, is a different challenge. Thankfully, with recent advances in artificial intelligence, it's not impossible, even if it's just a single human working on it. From the start, this project was meant to be an experiment into how far the AI automation can go, and almost every part you see - source discovery, concerts extraction, program analysis - is done by AI in some form.

Hence the name - classical bot. In reality, there are many bots behind the content here, but you get the idea.
